World Menstrual Hygiene Day is observed on May 28th every year to spread awareness, break the taboos and end the stigma around menstruation. May 28th signifies the menstrual cycle of females. As an average period cycle lasts for 28 days, the date chosen to mark is 28 days. In the same way an average period flow last for five days, therefore, May the fifth month of the year is selected.

To celebrate this year, Diva Pads partnered with Sanitary Aid for corporate social responsibility, donating 1000 Diva sanitary pads to girls and women of the Imeko community in Ogun State on the 28th of May 2022.

According to the theme of the celebration this year, Diva Pads will continue to be at the forefront of “making menstruation a normal fact of life by 2030”.
