ENDING PERIOD STIGMATIZATION: A Call for Awareness and Inclusivity

Menstruation is one reality that has been shrouded in stigma and misconceptions across cultures for far too long.

Breaking down the walls of period stigmatization is not only a matter of fostering inclusivity but also a step towards promoting gender equality and understanding.

Period education is important in schools to dispel myths, provide accurate information, and empower both genders view periods as a normal bodily function rather than something to be ashamed of.

There is also a need to encourage open and honest discussions about menstruation in families, schools, and communities. By fostering a culture of openness, we create an environment where Period is a collective understanding as a shared human experience.

Diva Pads understands that accessibility to affordable menstrual products is crucial in reducing stigma. We conducted a CSR in partnership with Sanitary Aid Initiative at Government College and DCF Secondary School in September 2023 and donated 1500 sanitary pads.

Divapads strongly believe in a world where menstruation is viewed not as a source of shame but as a natural and celebrated aspect of human life.
